This latest painting may convince me to return to landscapes.  I really enjoyed painting this one.  The photo is from last summer while we canoed on a small lake near Chase, British Columbia. It was fairly early and the sun was peeking through the trees of the small island we paddled around.  Sigh... can't wait to go again.

11"x14" oil on stretched canvas

' Guess I should just enjoy the wonderful spring weather I waited so long for.  I think I'll go work on #6 pansy.  Have a wonderful day.

  2. Wow! This is amazing! The reflection of the light on the water is perfect! Makes me yearn for camping season to start so I can get out on the lake!!

  6. This is beautiful a marvellous painting. Every morning I get up promising to paint a landscape or seascape and end up painting another abstract I am hooked. But they are selling so somebody must like them.

  7. I love the colours in this painting and of course the idea of paddling along that shoreline makes me long for summer and the stillness of a wilderness lake.

  8. Wow, Bonnie. You have done a brilliant piece here, one that brings home to me why I love landscapes so very much. Love the touches of purple and wee bit of pink to just add more depth and life to this gorgeous scene. It is truly beautiful!
