Look into the walnut based oils such as M.Grahm, or Gamblin's OMS, check out the studio safety page on gamblincolors.com some great info there.

I would not ruled out going to acrylic, take a look at Mark Woodland's work, I would never guess this work was acrylic.
http://maverickfinearts.blogspot.com/jimserrettstudiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16604574528873628463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158164403328442833.post-87888138242786224282010-12-01T20:00:46.757-08:002010-12-01T20:00:46.757-08:00I was disappointed in the water soluble oils they ...I was disappointed in the water soluble oils they took days to dry in my climate. I have a whole set I only used once, a waste of money. Put your paintings somewhere out of the way to dry and then you shouldn't have any problems.
D.Diana Marshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12193006545310900940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158164403328442833.post-63241308293196096562010-12-01T15:10:47.227-08:002010-12-01T15:10:47.227-08:00I will be very interested to see how you like the ...I will be very interested to see how you like the water soluble oils, Bonnie. I live in a two bedroom condo but I may try storing my wet paintings in a back hall closet to lessen the fumes in the living area. Thanks for the idea.Bonnie Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11469428197389846414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158164403328442833.post-60373352525582694512010-12-01T08:46:27.679-08:002010-12-01T08:46:27.679-08:00Bonnie, I have used them. The fumes are not bad at all, check out Nancy Laliberte's blog she and a friend are starting to use them and she's been blogging about them.
